Last year in August, Redmi K50 Extreme Edition was launched in China, featuring the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a 12-bit 120Hz 1.5K OLED display, a 108MP sensor, 120W fast charging, and more. The company is now preparing to launch the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition successor. It is worth mentioning that the Redmi K60 series currently has three phones – Redmi K60E, Redmi K60 & Redmi K60 Pro.
Redmi has shared a few details of the K60 Extreme Edition today on its Weibo page.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, which, on paper, is the most powerful chip for Android phones. As per Redmi, the K60 Extreme Edition scored a maximum of 1,774,714 points during its testing, the highest-ever score on the AnTuTu benchmark.
Besides the Dimensity 9200+, Redmi K60 Extreme Edition also has the PixelWorks X7 display chip. But it is not the first phone to have this chip. The Realme GT 2 Explorer Edition, launched last year, had the same chip. This display chip offers features such as 3D Noise Reduction to reduce video distortion, Ultra-Low Latency MEMC, AI-SDR2HDR, Low Power Super-Resolution, and more.
As per Digital Chat Station, the phone has a flat 1.5K OLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate.
The company did not share more details, and there is no word on the launch date yet. But, Redmi has said that the launch is taking place this month.
