After the official renders of the Google Pixel 9 & Pixel 9 Pro, we now have the official renders of the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This is the company’s second-generation foldable smartphone, and unlike last year, Google is launching it under the Pixel 9 series. The official renders were shared by OnLeaks, in collaboration with 91Mobiles.
Design-wise, the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold has a different camera module design than not just the predecessor but also other phones under the Pixel 9 series. There is no camera bar that spans the width of the phone. Instead, the phone has a rectangular camera module on the top left corner with a triple camera setup and an LED flash. The cover display seems to have the same aspect ratio as the Google Pixel 9.
The folding display has equal bezels and a hole punch cutout on the top right corner. This is a big upgrade versus last year’s Google Pixel Fold, which had massive bezels on the inside, with the camera being placed in the top bezel.
Speaking of the specifications, the cover display is the same as the Google Pixel 9’s display. It is a 6.24-inch 120Hz OLED display with 1800 nits peak HDR brightness and 1080 x 2424 pixels resolution. This means that when folded, the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s display has the same aspect ratio as the Pixel 9, or, in other words, the same aspect ratio as a normal smartphone.
The chipset is the Tensor G4, and there is 16GB RAM. The triple camera setup on the rear includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 10.5MP ultrawide, and a 10.8MP telephoto camera.
