Less than a month after the launch of Realme GT Neo 2 in China, the company launched the GT Neo 2T in the country today. While the name suggests that it is an upgraded version of GT Neo 2, that’s not the case. This is more or less the same phone as the Realme GT Neo Flash Edition, which launched in May this year. One main highlight of this new device is its SOC. Instead of the normal Dimensity 1200, it is the Dimensity 1200-AI SOC which we have seen powering the OnePlus Nord 2 as well.

Realme GT Neo 2T

Design-wise as well, this phone is in no way different than the Realme GT Neo/GT Neo Flash Edition. There is the same flat panel with a hole punch in the corner, the same camera module design, and even a 3.5mm headphone jack, something that is not present on the Realme GT Neo 2 but was there on the previous GT Neo phones. The only change in design is that there are now just Black & White colors with no fancy gradient or pattern on the back. The phone looks much elegant and clean than the GT Neo/GT Neo Flash Edition.

There is the same 6.43-inch Super AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate & up to 360Hz touch-sampling rate. The peak brightness of this panel is 1000 nits. The similarities do not end here. There is the same 4,500mAh battery, 65W fast charging, a 64MP triple camera array on the back, and a 16MP selfie camera.

As we mentioned in the starting, the only new thing here is the Dimensity 1200-AI SOC which offers some new AI features over the regular Dimensity 1200, which enhances the overall AI performance. Apart from that, there isn’t any change in the CPU or the GPU.

And finally, the phone has stereo speakers, and Realme UI 2.0 runs out of the box, which is based on Android 11.

Realme GT Neo 2T comes in two colors – Black & White. There are three variants of the phone, and here is the price for the Chinese market –

  • 8GB + 128GB – ¥2099 ($328)
  • 8GB + 256GB – ¥2299 ($359)
  • 12GB + 256GB – ¥2599 ($406)

Realme is also offering a discount initially that brings the price down by 200 Yuan. This makes the price of the base variant just 1,899 Yuan or $297.

So, compared to the price of the Realme GT Neo Flash Edition when it launched in May, the GT Neo 2T is cheaper. In China, the phone will go on sale starting November 1. There is no information on the launch outside the Chinese market.
