The Vivo T3 Ultra was launched in the Indian market in September last year with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset and a big 5,500mAh battery. The phone was launched at ₹31,999, making it one of the most powerful phones in its price segment. Today, the Vivo T4 Ultra was launched in the Indian market, and this one brings some big upgrades over its predecessor. The price has also increased quite a lot from last year, as the Vivo T4 Ultra starts at ₹37,999.
Design-wise, the Vivo T4 Ultra comes in two colors, and there is a glass back. The frame is made of polycarbonate, and the phone comes with IP64-rating. There is a quad-curved display on the front with a diamond shield glass protection. There is a stereo speaker setup.
Under the hood, the Vivo T4 Ultra has the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, the flagship MediaTek chip from last year. On the AnTuTu benchmark, the phone scores over 2 Million points, compared to around 1.6 Million points scored by the Dimensity 9200+ chipset inside the Vivo T3 Ultra. The phone has LPDDR5X RAM with UFS 3.1 storage.
The battery is still 5,500mAh, which is a surprise, as we have seen Vivo offering batteries bigger than 6,000mAh in its recent smartphones. There is 90W wired charging.
Speaking of cameras, the Vivo T4 Ultra has a triple camera setup on the rear. The primary rear camera has a 1/1.56″ 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor with CIPA 4.5 camera-level image stabilization. There is an 8MP sensor for the ultrawide camera. The third camera has a 3x periscope telephoto lens with a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor and OIS. This periscope telephoto camera can shoot 10x macro photos. On the front, the Vivo T4 Ultra has a 32MP sensor.
It is worth mentioning that while there is an extra telephoto camera this time versus the Vivo T3 Ultra, the selfie camera now has a 32MP sensor versus a 50MP sensor on the T3 Ultra. Both the front and rear cameras can shoot up to 4K 60fps videos.
As for the display, there is a 6.67-inch 120Hz 10-bit 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED display with 5000 nits peak brightness. There is an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Finally, the Vivo T4 Ultra runs on Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15 out of the box. The phone will get three OS updates.
