A week ago, Realme C3 & Realme 5i were certified by IMDA in Singapore, which hinted that they would be unveiled in the coming months. Well, the 5i was listed on a Vietnamese retailer’s website today with the major specifications & the press renders. This listing, if true, revealed everything about the device & we are yet to hear anything from the company regarding the launch date.

The Realme 5i is the successor to the Realme 3i that launched this year with features like Helio P60 SOC & a 4,230mAh battery. It is interesting that Realme has already launched three phones under the “5” series named Realme 5, 5 Pro & 5s.

The renders reveal that the design remains the same as the Realme 5 except for the fact that there is no longer a Crystal design on the rear. It has a similar-looking vertical camera setup having four cameras & a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.

Talking about the ports & the buttons, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom alongside the micro-USB port & the speaker grill. The power button is on the right side while the volume rockers are on the left. The whole body is made of plastic just like the Realme 5 & 5 Pro.

According to the Vietnamese Website, the Realme 5i features a 6.52-inch HD+ (720 x 1600) display, so the display size, as well as the resolution, remains the same as the Realme 5’s. Under the hood, it has the same octa-core 11nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SOC as the Realme 5 & there is 4GB RAM with 64GB storage.

Talking about the cameras on this phone, there is a Quad camera setup on the rear that includes a primary 12-megapixel camera, a secondary 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP Depth sensor & a 2MP Macro lens. So on paper, even the rear camera setup is the same as Realme 5. The front camera is slightly downgraded as it is an 8 Megapixel camera compared to Realme 5’s 13MP selfie camera.

There is a 5,000mAh battery & the phone supports normal 10W Charging. Android 9 Pie runs out of the box with ColorOS 6 on top (as per the site).

Well, looking at the specifications, the Realme 5i is just the Realme 5 but with a different selfie camera & no crystal pattern on the rear panel. In India, Realme 5 launched at a starting price of Rs 9,999, so expect the Realme 5i to come at a price around Rs 7-8K when it launches.
