The OnePlus Nord CE 5 was officially launched in July last year, featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset, a big 5,200mAh battery, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and more. Well, it is time for the successor, the OnePlus Nord CE 6. It is worth mentioning that the OnePlus Nord 6 is already official with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 is launching on May 7 in the Indian market, and the brand has shared the key specifications already.
Design-wise, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 looks identical to the OnePlus Nord 6 with the exception of one less camera on the rear. The phone has a plastic frame and most likely a plastic back like the Nord 6. The phone will launch in at least four color options. While the OnePlus Nord CE 5 was IP65-certified, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 is coming with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications. The phone also has the MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification.
As for the rest of the specifications, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. This is an interesting choice since the OnePlus Nord CE 5 featured a performance-centric MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset. The battery is 8,000mAh, much larger than last year. The phone supports 27W reverse wired charging. There is 80W wired charging.
There is a 50MP main sensor on the rear with dual-axis OIS and a 32MP selfie camera. The selfie camera supports 4K video recording and has autofocus. Since OnePlus did not reveal the details of the secondary rear camera, it is safe to say that there is no ultrawide camera on this phone.
The display is a 6.78-inch 1.5K 144Hz flat OLED with a 3200Hz touch-sampling rate. The phone comes with a touch-reflex chip.
The phone is coming with a stereo speaker setup, and there is reportedly a larger vapor chamber. Finally, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 runs on OxygenOS 16 out of the box.
