The Google Pixel 10 series was launched last year with the Tensor G5 chipset, which was built on TSMC’s 3nm process and featured an 8-core CPU with a prime Cortex-X4 core clocked at up to 3.78GHz, five Cortex-A725 cores clocked at up to 3.05GHz, and two Cortex-A520 cores clocked at up to 2.25GHz. Well, while the Google Pixel 11 series is launching at the end of Q3 2026, we now have some leaked specifications of the Google Tensor G6 SOC.
There are some interesting upgrades in the Tensor G6, but there is also something that isn’t very impressive.

As per this leak, the Google Tensor G6 will feature an updated CPU architecture and will use the ARM C1-series CPU cores. For context, the ARM C1-series was officially unveiled in September last year, and it is the first CPU family built on ARM v9.3 architecture. There is at least one ARM C1-Ultra core clocked at up to 4.11GHz, four ARM C1-Pro cores clocked at up to 3.38GHz, and two ARM C1-Pro cores clocked at up to 2.65GHz. The ARM C1-Ultra is the successor to the Cortex-X925, which in turn was the successor to the Cortex-X4. So, we are looking at a two-generation leap here. The C1-Pro is the successor to the Cortex-A725.
Compared to the CPU of the Tensor G5, there should be a considerable performance improvement in the Tensor G6.
Well, while there is good news in the CPU department, the GPU is something that is not so impressive. As per this leak, the Google Tensor G6 uses a PowerVR C-Series CXTP-48-1536 GPU. For comparison, the Google Tensor G5 has a D-series DXT-48-1536 GPU, which was launched in 2023. Now, even though we do not have any information on the ‘CXTP-48-1536’ GPU from PowerVR, it is worth mentioning that the C-series from PowerVR got its last GPU in 2021, meaning it is an old architecture that was succeeded by the D-series. While there may be some upgrades in the GPU, it is safe to say that the Google Tensor G6 won’t be the best choice for gamers, which has been the case with every Tensor chipset.
Finally, the leak also reveals the codenames for the Pixel 11 series devices, which are Cubs (Pixel 11), Grizzly (Pixel 11 Pro), and Kodiak (Pixel 11 Pro XL).
