The Realme GT 2 series is set to go official on the 4th of January globally, and as we know already, apart from the Realme GT 2 & Realme GT 2 Pro, there is also a ‘Master Edition,’ the one whose photos Realme has been sharing on its social media handles. Recently, the GT 2 Pro showed up on TENAA, which revealed the key specifications of this phone, and we got to know that this device has not one but two cameras with a 50MP sensor. The company has already shared some information regarding the phone already such as the display specifications. Now, Realme shared the camera specifications on its Weibo page.
The company revealed that the primary camera on the back has a 50 Megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor. This is the same sensor that is on the Xiaomi 12 and 12X smartphones. In fact, this same sensor was present this year on a ton of Oppo and OnePlus devices as well. Now, this is not the first time Realme is using Sony IMX766 sensor on a phone. In fact, in July, we got Realme GT Master Explorer Edition which had the same sensor for the primary shooter.
Now, the main USP of the GT 2 Pro’s camera setup is the ultrawide camera. It has a 50 Megapixel sensor, too, and this one has an ultrawide lens with a field of view of a staggering 150-degrees.
With this ultrawide lens, you will be able to take photos in Fisheye Mode.
And finally, the phone has a 2 Megapixel camera for macro photos, and Realme says it is a 2nd generation “Microscope Camera.” This suggests a similar tech as one used on Oppo Find X3 Pro which has a macro camera offering 60x zoom!
