In January, Realme 9i launched in the Indian market with Snapdragon 680 SOC & a starting price of ₹13,999. Today, the company launched the 5G version of the phone, i.e., Realme 9i 5G. The price of the 5G variant starts at ₹14,999, and for the price, you’re getting MediaTek Dimensity 810 SOC, a 5,000mAh battery, 50MP camera & a stylish design.
The phone comes in three colors – Soulful Blue, Rocking Black & Metallica Gold. The back panel has a unique design that Realme calls “Laser Light” design. The company says the back design gives the phone a “retro CD” vibe. Also, there is no camera module, so each lens is placed separately, making the back look cleaner. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the side, which doubles as the power button. The 3.5mm headphone jack is on the bottom, along with the USB Type-C port and the speaker grill.
Under the hood, Realme 9i 5G has MediaTek Dimensity 810 SOC which is the same chip that powers devices such as the Poco M4 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11T 5G. The base variant has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage (UFS 2.2). The battery size is 5,000mAh, and there is 18W fast charging support.
On the front, the phone has a 6.6-inch 90Hz Full-HD+ LCD with a 180Hz touch-sampling rate. There is a waterdrop notch that houses an 8MP selfie camera. On the back, there are three cameras – a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor & a 2MP macro camera.
Finally, Android 12 runs out of the box with Realme UI 3.0 on top.
Here is the pricing for the Indian market –
