Last month, Realme launched the Realme 10 series in China which included the Realme 10 5G, Realme 10 Pro & Realme 10 Pro+ smartphones. Now, the brand has launched yet another phone under this series in China, the Realme 10s. This is a budget 5G phone with specifications similar to the Realme 9i 5G, launched in August in the Indian market. The price starts at ¥1099, which translates to around $157 or ₹13,000.

Realme 10s has a dual camera setup on the rear, and the camera module design is identical to other phones under the Realme 10 series. There is a waterdrop notch on the front and a prominent bottom chin. The fingerprint scanner sits on the right, whereas the volume rockers are on the left. The 3.5mm headphone jack is on the bottom, alongside the Type-C port and the speaker grill.

The SOC powering this device is the MediaTek Dimensity 810, which makes it a more powerful device than the Realme 10 5G. The phone has 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage.

There is a 6.6-inch IPS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and a Full-HD+ resolution. The dual camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is an 8MP camera.

The battery size is 5,000mAh, and the phone supports 33W fast charging. Finally, Realme 10s runs on Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0.

Well, if you compare this phone with the Realme 9i 5G, you’ll see that there is the same chip, the same display, the same camera sensors (except the lack of a 2MP macro camera), the same battery size, and even the same software version. The upgrades include faster charging (33W vs. 18W) and more storage + RAM.

In China, Realme 10s starts at ¥1099 (~$157) for the 8GB + 128GB variant, and the price goes up to ¥1299 (~$186) for the 256GB variant. The sale starts on December 20.
