Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE to be priced under ₹25,000 in India
This would make it the cheapest phone with Snapdragon 778G SOC!
In June this year, Xiaomi launched the Mi 11 Lite (4G) in the Indian market with an ultra-slim form-factor and a beautiful design. When this phone launched in India, there were many questions regarding the 5G variant of it, which is already available in the global market. Well, it looks like Xiaomi is finally ready to launch the 5G version in India as a new report by 91Mobiles reveals that the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is launching in India this month. Here, “NE” in the name most probably means “New Edition.” Along with this, 91Mobiles also revealed the price range in which the starting price will fall, and this will surprise you!
Currently, in the Indian market, we have just a couple of phones under ₹30,000 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G SOC. The first one is the Motorola Edge 20, which starts at ₹29,999, and the second is the Realme GT Master Edition which starts above ₹25,000. The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G is going to undercut both of these phones as its starting price will be under ₹25,000 in India! Again, we are talking about a phone with a chipset like Snapdragon 778G, something that Samsung offers in its Galaxy A52s priced at ₹35,999! The starting price will sit between ₹23,000 to ₹24,000.
Specifications-wise, we are not expecting the phone to be any different than the one available globally, but there could be slight changes. Still, assuming that the specs are the same, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE has a 6.55-inch AMOLED with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The fingerprint scanner is on the right side. Now, while the global variant has Snapdragon 780G, the Indian version reportedly has Snapdragon 778G SOC. There is LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. There are three cameras on the back where the primary shooter has a 64 Megapixel sensor, the secondary camera is an 8 Megapixel ultrawide, and the third camera is a 5 Megapixel TeleMacro. For selfies, you get a 20 Megapixel camera on the front.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is 2 grams heavier than the Mi 11 Lite 4G at 159 grams, but the thickness is the same at 6.8mm.
