A week ago, we got to know that the Xperia XA3 and XA3 Plus would launch as the Xperia 10 & 10 Plus. Now, it looks like Sony will also rebrand its flagship range, and we won’t see a new phone under the XZ lineup. Evan Blass shared the press render of Sony’s flagship for 2019, and it is called Sony Xperia 1.
This phone was supposed to launch as the Sony Xperia XZ4, but Sony seemingly decided to rebrand its whole smartphone lineup. This might also mean that Sony is ready to make a comeback since its phones aren’t selling that well from quite some time now.
The Xperia 1 will also launch with a 4K HDR OLED panel which is the first on any smartphone.
The Sony Xperia 1 has triple rear cameras, the first for any Sony device. There is a tall 21:9 display on the front and a side-facing fingerprint scanner. All the buttons are placed on the right from the volume rockers to the power button and the dedicated button for the camera shutter.
