Samsung Galaxy M54 gets BIS certified, launching soon

Powered by Exynos 1380 SOC

Last year, the Samsung Galaxy M53 was launched with the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SOC, which was a surprise since the last two phones, the M51 & M52, were both powered by Qualcomm chipsets and offered great value for money. What was even more interesting was that after the launch of the Galaxy M53, the Galaxy M52 became an even better value-for-money phone. The Samsung Galaxy M54 is in the works and is set to launch in the coming months. The phone has now been certified by BIS, which indicates the India launch is not far.

We also know some specifications of the phone already, so there is a 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED display, a 32MP selfie camera, and 25W fast charging, the same as the Galaxy M53. What’s interesting is the chipset. The Galaxy M54 is powered by the Exynos 1380 SOC, which is not yet official, and as the name suggests, this is the successor to the Exynos 1280 SOC that powered the phones such as Galaxy A53 & Galaxy M33.

The same SOC will also power the Galaxy A54, which has been spotted on Geekbench already. On Geekbench, Exynos 1380 scores similar to 1280 on single-core, but there is a 50% improvement in the multi-core score.

Other specifications, such as battery size or rear cameras, are not yet confirmed, but there are rumors that the Galaxy M54 has a massive 6,000mAh battery.
