So far, under the Motorola Edge 70 series, we have seen a lot of smartphones. There is the Motorola Edge 70, Edge 70 Fusion, Edge 70 Fusion Plus, Edge 70 Pro, and the Edge 70 Pro Plus. Well, there is a new phone that is going to launch under this series in the Indian market on the 15th of July. This phone is named the Motorola Edge 70 Max. This is not going to be a budget or mid-range smartphone, but rather a performance-centric flagship phone.
Even though there are still a few days left for the official launch, the key specifications of the phone have been shared by the brand already.

Speaking of the chipset, the Motorola Edge 70 Max is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. This is the same chipset that powers phones like the iQOO 15R, the OnePlus 15R, the Vivo X300 FE, and the Motorola Signature. There is up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and the phone has a 5500mm vapor chamber for better thermals. The phone features a glass back with an aluminum frame, and on the front, there seems to be a flat display. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass 7i, and Motorola says that it is the only phone in its category that has a Quad-HD+ LTPO display. This is a 10-bit display with 7000 nits of peak brightness and a 144Hz refresh rate.

The battery is also huge. The phone packs a 7100mAh battery with 90W fast wired charging. Also, the phone has 25W magnetic wireless charging, which the brand says is the first in this category.
Well, with all these specifications, the Motorola Edge 70 Max looks like a good competitor to the iQOO 15R and the OnePlus 15R. It might even undercut both these smartphones, which will be quite interesting if that happens.
