Earlier this month, Samsung launched Galaxy M33 5G in India with Exynos 1280 5G SOC. Today, the company launched Galaxy M53 in India. It is the successor to the Galaxy M52 5G of last year, and the introductory price starts at ₹23,999. The price is lower than that of the Galaxy M52 5G because the Samsung Galaxy M53 has some downgrades over the last year’s device.

Design-wise, the Galaxy M53 looks the same as Galaxy M33, at least from the rear. That’s because it has the same square-shaped camera housing with Quad cameras in it. The fingerprint reader is present on the side, and there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. On the front, there is a display with a hole punch, unlike the Galaxy M33, which has a notch. And like all other budget and mid-range phones by Samsung, the Galaxy M53 has a plastic build.

Regarding the specs, Samsung Galaxy M53 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. There is a Dimensity 900 5G SOC under the hood, and this is a downgrade from the Snapdragon 778G of Galaxy M52. The battery size is 5,000mAh, and there is support for 25W charging.

The macro camera has a 2MP sensor, down from a 5MP sensor. And finally, there is a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 32MP sensor.

Some other features of the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G are VC cooling, RAM Plus, Voice focus, Auto Data Switching, 5G, Object Eraser, Alt Z, Knox Security, OneUI 4, etc. The phone will get two major Android OS updates and security updates for the next four years.
