The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ was launched in China in October, featuring a 200MP Samsung HPX sensor and 120W fast charging. Today, the brand launched the successor, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. The successor is an entirely different phone with upgrades in almost every department. Still, the price starts at ¥1899, compared to ¥2199 for the Redmi Note 12 Pro+.
Since the base variant of Note 13 Pro+ has 12GB RAM and 128GB storage, if we compare the same storage options, the Note 13 Pro+ is ¥500 cheaper than the Note 12 Pro+. This clearly shows how aggressive the pricing is!
The design is one of the highlights of this phone. It has a premium design, including a curved display with slim bezels, a symmetrical back design with a triple camera setup and no camera island, a stereo speaker setup, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and an X-axis linear motor.
The phone is IP68 certified, the first for a Redmi Note. There is Gorilla Glass Victus on the front.
The display is a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits peak brightness, 12-bit color depth, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. There is MediaTek Dimensity 7200-ULTRA SOC, which, as the name suggests, is an upgraded version of the Dimensity 7200. On the AnTuTu benchmark, the phone scores over 800,000 points. There is LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. Speaking of cameras, there are three on the back. The primary camera has a 1/1.4″ 200MP Samsung HP3 sensor with OIS, the secondary camera has an 8MP sensor, and the third camera has a 2MP sensor. The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor.
