Redmi Note 13 Pro launched in China with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2

The Redmi Note 12 Pro was launched in China in October last year, and the main USP was its 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, the Dimensity 1080 chipset, and 67W fast charging. Today, the Redmi Note 13 Pro was launched in the Chinese market, featuring an upgraded chip, an upgraded camera sensor, and a new design.

The phone is quite aggressively priced, with the starting price being ¥1399,  ¥300 lower than the starting price of Redmi Note 12 Pro.

Redmi Note 13 Pro

Redmi Note 13 Pro is a premium-looking phone with a premium design. There is glass on the front and back, a flat frame, and a triple camera setup. The display on the front has slim bezels (a 2.27mm chin) all around and a hole punch in the middle. There are stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR blaster, and an X-axis linear motor. The phone is quite slim at 7.8mm and weighs 187g.

The display is a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED with 12-bit color depth, up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, Dolby Vision, and 1800 nits peak brightness. The display gets Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The fingerprint sensor is located under the display.

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip handles the performance, the latest entry in the Snapdragon 7 series, which sits below the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 in terms of performance. This chip is built on the 4nm process and has an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.4GHz.

The battery is 5,100mAh, and the phone supports 67W fast charging.

Redmi Note 13 Pro

The triple camera setup on the rear includes a primary camera with a 1/1.4″ 200MP Samsung HP3 sensor and f/1.65 lens. There is no OIS for the primary camera. The second camera takes ultrawide photos and has an 8MP sensor. Finally, the phone has a 2MP macro camera. 4K video recording is supported via the primary rear camera at up to 30fps.

For selfies, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has a 16MP camera.

Finally, the phone runs on MIUI 14, based on Android 13.
