A couple of weeks back, Realme revealed that it would launch the X50 5G, as well as a “Youth” version of the same, on January 7th in China. Then, we got the images of the phone via the official Weibo page that revealed the design from the rear & the sides. Now, the Realme X50 5G has been spotted on TENAA that revealed the key specifications of the phone. After this information, all that’s left to know is the pricing.
According to TENAA, Realme X50 5G features a 6.57-inch Full-HD+ LCD panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. As we already know, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SOC, which has an integrated 5G modem. This is the same chip that powers the Redmi K30 5G. Storage configuration includes 6/8/12GB RAM & 64/128/256GB internal storage.
There is a triple camera setup on the rear that includes a primary 64-megapixel camera, a secondary 8 Megapixel camera, a third 12MP camera & a fourth 2MP sensor. So, this means there is a telephoto lens as well alongside the ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, there is a dual-camera setup placed in a pill-shaped cutout & as per TENAA, there is a main 16MP camera on the front alongside a secondary 8MP wide-angle camera.
It is not yet known whether the 64MP camera has a Samsung GW1 sensor like other Realme phones or the new Sony IMX686 sensor that’s present on the Redmi K30 5G.
Underneath, the phone has a 4,100mAH battery & runs on Android 10 out of the box with ColorOS 7 on top. Realme has already revealed that the X50 5G has enhanced VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 support.
Some trusted sources have claimed that there is a 120Hz LCD panel on the Realme X50 5G, similar to the Redmi K30 5G. So, this means the specifications are almost the same as the K30 5G, i.e., Snapdragon 765G SOC, Quad camera setup with a 64MP primary rear camera, a display with pill-shaped punch-hole, etc.
Well, since Realme is known for super aggressive pricing, it won’t be a surprise if Realme launches the X50 5G at a price lower than the starting price of Redmi K30 5G.
