Realme X50 5G launching on January 7 alongside “Lite” version

A couple of weeks earlier, we got to know that the Realme X50 5G would launch before the Spring Festival in China, i.e., before January 25th. Well, the company finally announced the launch date for the Chinese market today via the official Weibo page. The X50 5G is launching on January 7th in China, which means there are still a couple of weeks left for the official launch.

The teaser posted by Realme on Weibo reveals the two color options, i.e., Blue & Purple, but apart from that, we don’t get to see anything about the design. On Weibo, Realme also revealed that alongside the Realme X50 5G, there would also be a “Lite” version.

As we already know, the X50 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SOC, which is the latest 5G SOC for mid-range phones from Qualcomm. This SOC has an integrated 5G modem & yes, this is the same chip that powers the Redmi K30 5G. One more thing that we know about the X50 5G is the fact that there is a punch-hole display with a pill-shaped cutout on the front for dual selfie cameras.

Considering Realme’s history of super-aggressive pricing for its phones, it won’t be a surprise if we get Realme X50 5G at a starting price similar or even lower than that of Redmi K30 5G.
