Realme GT Neo 5 has been in the news for the past couple of months because this phone has 240W fast charging. In December last year, we got the phone’s render and key specifications. Today, Realme officially announced the launch date for the Chinese market. The launch is happening on February 9 in China.
Realme GT Neo 5 is the successor to the GT Neo 3, launched last year with 150W fast charging support, and was also rebadged as the OnePlus 10R in some markets. The GT Neo 5 features a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, so the company is not going for a MediaTek chip this time. There is a 6.7-inch display with a 1.5K resolution (2772 x 1240 pixels) and up to 144Hz refresh rate. There is an under-display fingerprint reader.
For photography, the phone has three rear cameras. The primary camera has a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS and an f/1.79 lens. As for the battery size, the Realme GT Neo 5 will launch in two variants – One with a 5,000mAh battery and 150W fast charging, whereas the other with a 4,600mAH battery and 240W fast charging.
The phone may also launch globally, but the global launch date is unknown.
