Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition shows up on TENAA

The design and specifications are now out

In January, we got Realme GT 2 & GT 2 Pro, Realme’s flagship duo for 2022. Now, last year, alongside the Realme GT 5G, the company’s flagship phone, we also got two Master Edition phones named the Realme GT Master Edition & Realme GT Master Explorer Edition. Realme will do the same this year as it is already rumored that the company is going to launch the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition soon. Well, now, the phone has shown up on TENAA, and the listing reveals not just the design but also the key specifications.

While it is a Master Edition phone, the TENAA Listing did not reveal the unique rear design that we see in every Master Edition phone. Instead, the phone shown in the listing is in normal black color. That is not surprising since the Master Edition phones come in just a couple of color options that feature a unique back design. The rest of the color options have a normal rear design. We can see that the camera module design resembles the design of Realme GT Neo 3.

Speaking of the specs, Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition has a 6.7-inch 120Hz 10-bit OLED with a Full-HD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint reader. There is Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SOC under the hood, which is interesting because that makes it the most powerful Realme phone in the company’s current lineup, more powerful than the Realme GT 2 Pro. The triple camera array on the rear includes a 50MP primary sensor (most probably the IMX766), a 50MP secondary sensor for the ultrawide lens, and a 2MP sensor. There is a 16MP selfie shooter. Finally, the phone has a 5,000mAh battery.

Comparing the specs to the last year’s Realme GT Master Explorer Edition, there is Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 vs. Snapdragon 870, a 50MP ultrawide vs. a 16MP ultrawide, and a 5,000mAH battery vs. a 4,500mAH battery.
