[48MP camera confirmed] Realme 6i launching on March 17th with MediaTek Helio G80

UPDATE – The Facebook page of Realme Myanmar has now confirmed that there is a primary 48 Megapixel camera on the rear.

In the first week of March, Realme 6 launched in India with impressive specs like a 90Hz display, MediaTek Helio G90T SOC, 30W Fast Charging, Quad cameras & more. Now, Realme is preparing to launch a new phone under the Realme 6 series, the Realme 6i. As the name suggests, this would be a successor to the Realme 5i that launched in India in January this year.

Realme 6i leaked earlier (with model number RMX2040) via some live images that we got via an FCC listing. Those live images revealed a similar design as the Realme 6 except for the front where there is a notch instead of a punch-hole.

Now, we got to know via the official Facebook page of Realme Myanmar that the Realme 6i is coming with MediaTek Helio G80 SOC, making it the world’s first smartphone to feature this chip from MediaTek. The phone is launching on March 17th in Myanmar.

The Helio G80 SOC was announced last month & it sits between the Helio G70 & the Helio G90 SOCs when it comes to the performance. Based on the 12nm manufacturing process, there is an octa-core CPU with high-performance Cortex-A75 cores. The GPU is Mali-G52 GPU clocked at 950MHz.

Well, this means the Realme 6i will sit between the Realme C3 & Realme 6 when it comes to the pricing. Some other specs that we know already include a 48 Megapixel primary rear camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and 18W Fast charging. The pricing is going to be around Rs 10,000 in India.
