The Mate 40 is priced at €899, Mate 40 Pro at €1,199 & the Mate 40 Pro+ at €1,399. But still, these prices are nowhere near the price tag of PORSCHE DESIGN Huawei Mate 40 RS for which you’ll have to shell out $2,299! Huawei started launching PORSCHE DESIGN Mate series devices in 2018 when it launched the Mate RS. In the same year, we got the Mate 20 RS & last year, Mate 30 RS was launched.
The PORSCHE DESIGN Mate series phones from Huawei are different from other Mate series flagships of that year in not just the price tag but also in terms of the overall design & feel because they are the most premium phones from Huawei. This year is no exception as the Mate 40 RS looks completely different from rest of the Mate 40 series flagships.
Huawei says that it used high-strength Nano-tech Ceramic Material for the device as it brings the exhilarating thrill of motorsports to life. On the front, there is the same Curved display with a pill-shaped cutout on the top left as on the Mate 40 Pro & Mate 40 Pro+.
The rear design is completely different because there is an Octagonal camera setup design that is something we have never seen on any smartphone before. There are four cameras in this camera module along with the 3D Time of Flight sensor.
Apart from the design, there is no change in the specs when compared to the Huawei Mate 40 Pro+. There is the same 6.76-inch 90Hz OLED, Kirin 9000 SOC, a 4,400mAh battery, 66W Fast Wired Charging, 50W Fast Wireless Charging, 13MP + 3D Depth Sensor on the front, & 50MP + 12MP + 8MP + 20MP + 3D Depth sensor on the rear.
The Huawei Mate 40 RS comes with 12GB RAM & 512GB storage.
As mentioned in the title, the phone is priced at a staggering €2,299!
