Exactly a month after its launch in the global market, the Poco X4 Pro 5G launched in India today. This is a mid-range phone from the brand that succeeds the Poco X3 Pro of last year, but like the X3 Pro, the X4 Pro is not a performance beast with a Snapdragon 800-series SOC. Instead, it is an all-around balanced mid-range phone with a good chipset, 5G support, an impressive display, gorgeous design, and more.
This is more or less the same phone as Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus, which is currently selling in India for ₹20,999. The Poco X4 Pro 5G, on the other hand, starts at ₹18,999.
Design-wise, it is almost the same phone like Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus, but the camera module has a different look. It extends to the other side and has the Poco branding in it as well. Also, as we can notice, the camera module says “64MP” and not “108MP”. So, that’s one major difference between the two phones. There are flat sides, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom, and a flat display with a hole punch in the center.
The display on the front is a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 360Hz touch-sampling rate. The peak brightness of this panel is 1,200 nits. This is a massive upgrade from the Poco X3 Pro’s 120Hz LCD. Under the hood, the phone has a Snapdragon 695 5G SOC which, as we know, is a very powerful mid-range chip that beats the likes of Snapdragon 750G and 765G as well. On the AnTuTu benchmark, this SOC scores close to 400,000 points.
This chip is paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. For comparison, Poco X3 Pro had UFS 3.1 storage. The battery size is 5,000mAh, and there is support for 67W fast charging. And yes, you will get the 67W adapter in the box.
Finally, speaking of the cameras, Poco X4 Pro 5G has a triple camera setup on the rear where the primary camera has a 64MP sensor, the ultrawide camera has an 8MP sensor, and the macro camera has a 2MP sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP camera.
There are three color options – Laser Black, Laser Blue, and Yellow. Here is the pricing for India –
- 6GB + 64GB – ₹18,999
- 6GB +128GB – ₹19,999
- 8GB + 128GB – ₹21,999
The first sale will take place on the 5th of April, and you can buy the phone via Flipkart.
