Poco launched a couple of phones today, one of which is the Poco X4 GT. As the name suggests, this is the successor to the Poco X3 GT that launched last year with Dimensity 1100 SOC. The X4 GT is a rebrand of the Redmi Note 11T Pro that went official in China a month ago. In typical Poco fashion, there is an early bird discount (from June 27 to July 7) that brings the starting price down to €299!
Design-wise, nothing is different compared to the China model, except for the branding on the back. There is a plastic build, flat sides, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and a flat display with a center hole punch. There are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and the phone does not skip the headphone jack as it is placed on the top, alongside the IR blaster and the secondary speaker.
The main USP of this phone is performance. This is due to the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SOC under the hood that is paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. To keep the phone cool, there is LiquidCool Technology 2.0, which includes a big vapor chamber and seven layers of graphite. Compared to the Poco X3 GT, the vapor chamber inside the Poco X4 GT is 32% bigger.
On the front, there is a 6.6-inch LCD with a Full-HD+ resolution and up to 144Hz resolution. The panel supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and is protected with Gorilla Glass 5. The refresh rate of the display can switch automatically based on the content displayed. For example, while playing videos, it can switch between 30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, and 60Hz. While playing games, the refresh rate can switch between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz.
The battery size is 5,080mAh, and there is also 67W fast charging. You get the 67W adapter in the box.
Speaking of the cameras, Poco X4 GT has three on the rear. There is a primary camera with a 64MP sensor and an f/1.89 lens. The ultrawide camera has an 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 lens. There is a third 2MP macro camera. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP sensor. You can shoot up to 4K 30fps videos via the rear camera.
Finally, MIUI 13 for Poco runs out of the box, based on Android 12.
