Poco F4 is coming with Snapdragon 870, officially confirmed

It is reportedly a rebranded Redmi K40S

The Poco F3 launched in March last year with the Snapdragon 870 SOC & a 120Hz AMOLED panel. It was a rebranded Redmi K40, and the early bird price started at €299. Now, the brand is preparing to launch the Poco F4. It is worth mentioning that the F4 GT is already official in the global market as the phone launched in April this year with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SOC. Poco has now officially revealed that the F4 is coming with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SOC.

Redmi K40S

As per many sources, Poco F4 is a rebranded Redmi K40S, and the only difference apart from the branding is that the F4 has a 64MP primary sensor on the rear, compared to 48MP on the K40S.

If everything else is indeed the same, then the F4 is coming with flat sides and a camera module design similar to the Redmi K50 series. There is a flat panel on the front with a hole punch cutout in the center. There are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos but no 3.5mm headphone jack.

As for the specs, Poco F4 has a 6.67-inch 120Hz E4 AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution and up to 1300 nits brightness. The panel is protected with Gorilla Glass 5 and supports HDR10+. There is Snapdragon 870 SOC, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. The battery size is 4,500mAh, and the charging speed is 67W.

Finally, the triple camera setup on the rear includes a 64MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. There is a 20MP selfie shooter.

Well, compared to the Poco F3, there is a new design, faster charging, an upgraded primary sensor, and OIS. Let’s see at what price the Poco F4 launches globally.
