In February, Redmi K50 Gaming Edition went official in China, and this was the first K50 series phone that the company launched. It launched with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SOC, pop-up shoulder triggers, 120W charging, and more. Now, the phone is coming to the global market but under the POCO brand. It is launching as the Poco F4 GT. This is not new as even last year, we got Poco F3 GT as a rebrand of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition.
The launch is taking place on the 26th of April, i.e., in a week.
Since it is just a rebrand of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, there is no change in the spec sheet or the design. The Poco F4 GT has a 6.67-inch 10-bit OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution. There is Gorilla Glass Victus protection as well. Under the hood, the phone has Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SOC that is paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The battery size is 4,700mAh, and there is support for 120W fast charging. A 120W charger can charge the battery of this phone from 0 to 100% in just 17 minutes.
In terms of cameras, Poco F4 GT has a triple camera setup on the back that includes a primary 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, there is a 20MP Sony IMX596 sensor on the front.
Some other features include stereo speakers tuned by JBL, X-axis linear motor, 2nd generation pop-up shoulder triggers, a VC Liquid Cooling system, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
In China, Redmi K50 Gaming Edition launched at ¥3299, which translates to around $520. The Poco F3 GT launched last year for ₹26,999 in India, which translates to around $360. So, expect the price of the Poco F4 GT to be above ₹35,000 (above $450).
