VOOC is Oppo’s fast charging technology that the company introduced back in 2014 & it could charge a device safely at 25W without any overheating. Later in 2018, the company introduced SuperVOOC & it could charge a device with power close to 50W, which was impressive. Obviously implementing it wasn’t easy as the company used a bi-cell battery design.
Now, Oppo is all set to unveil the next upgrade to its SuperVOOC charging technology, the 65W SuperVOOC Charging. The company announced on Weibo today that on September 17 in China, it would unveil this upgraded charging technology.
Oppo Reno Ace is launching on October 10 with the 65W SuperVOOC technology & it has already been revealed by the company. Moreover, this device will feature a 90Hz display. Other rumoured specs include Snapdragon 855+ SOC, 10X Zoom, a 4,000mAh battery & more.
Well, we have seen a tremendous improvement in the Fast Charging tech with companies like Xiaomi & Vivo showcasing mind-blowing 100W & 120W Fast Charging technologies. But the thing is, we won’t see phones with such charging technologies anytime soon, at least not in 2019. That’s not the case with Oppo’s 65W SuperVOOC since Oppo Reno Ace is all set to launch next month.
