Xiaomi’s 100W Super Charge Turbo can fully charge 4,000mAh battery in just 17 minutes

We have seen smartphone makers focusing a lot on fast charging and right now, the Huawei’s 55W SuperCharge technology is the fastest when it comes to the charging speed. But, Xiaomi is all set to change everything by launching the mind-blowing 100W fast charging that the company calls ‘Super Charge Turbo.’

Xiaomi ‘s president, Lin Bin, showed off the 100W Fast Charging on Weibo and as the video below shows, it charges a 4,000mAh battery in a mere 17 minutes.

Interestingly, it seems like it won’t be a Xiaomi phone that would be the first to feature Super Charge Turbo. Instead, an upcoming Redmi device would have it. William Lu, the General Manager of Redmi China, revealed this by commenting on Lin Bin’s Weibo post.

From the day Xiaomi announced ‘Redmi’ as a separate brand, we are getting rumors regarding a Snapdragon 855-powered Redmi phone. So, the chances are that this upcoming phone would launch with the 100W Super Charge Turbo. But then, there is also the foldable phone coming this year from Xiaomi. So, maybe the company follows Huawei by launching its foldable phone with the fastest charging technology in the market.
