OnePlus Nord CE 3 to feature a 108MP camera & Snapdragon 695

The phone is launching in Q1 or Q2 2023

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 launched in February, and it was a mid-range 5G phone with MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. The phone featured a 90Hz AMOLED display, 65W fast charging, and a 64MP camera sensor. Now, we have the major specifications of the OnePlus Nord CE 3, courtesy of OnLeaks, who shared the spec sheet with GadgetGang. The specifications are pretty interesting since they suggest not that big of an upgrade.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 features the Snapdragon 695 5G SOC. Yes, this is the same chipset that powered the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite. The phone has up to 12GB RAM & 256GB storage. There is a 6.7-inch display, and while the Nord CE 2 had a 90Hz AMOLED, the Nord CE 3 had a 120Hz LCD. The battery size is 5,000mAh, so that’s 500mAh bigger than the Nord CE 2. The charging speed is 67W, compared to 65W in the case of Nord CE 2.

As for the cameras, Nord CE 3 has a triple camera setup on the rear that includes a 108MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro & a 2MP depth sensor. So, there is not even an ultrawide camera. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP sensor. Finally, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

And well, that’s all. The significant upgrades over the Nord 2 include a bigger battery, slightly faster charging, and a 108MP sensor. But alongside upgrades, the phone has downgrades too. There is no ultrawide lens, and the display is an LCD. We are expecting the phone to launch in early 2023.
