The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro was launched last year with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SOC, a 5,000mAh battery, and a 1.5K OLED display. The phone did not make it outside China, but its younger sibling, the OnePlus Ace 2, did. The OnePlus Ace 2 was launched as the OnePlus 11R. Similarly, this year, the OnePlus Ace 3 was launched in China with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset & a 5,500mAh battery. The phone was launched outside China as the OnePlus 12R.
The company is now all set to launch the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, codenamed “Dayu”.
As per Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Ace 3 Pro will be the phone with the largest ever battery from OnePlus. The phone packs a massive 6,100mAh battery, unheard of in flagship phones. This is a trend we have seen among Chinese smartphone makers lately, where they are adding massive batteries to their devices. Along with the 6,100mAh battery, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro also supports 100W fast charging.
To support such fast charging, the phone uses a dual-cell battery design, with each cell having a capacity of around 2,970mAh.
The rest of the specifications are not yet known, but we expect a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset under the hood at least.
