The OnePlus 11 has been launched in the global market, but the company launched one other phone at the launch event. It is the OnePlus 11R, and this phone was launched in the Indian market only, similar to how the OnePlus 10R was an India-only device. This is a high-end phone that sits below the OnePlus 11 in terms of performance. OnePlus went for aggressive pricing this time since the OnePlus 11R with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 starts a ₹39,999. For comparison, the OnePlus 10T with the same chipset was launched at ₹49,999 last year.
Design-wise, the OnePlus 11R looks similar to the OnePlus 11 primarily because the camera module design is the same. On the front, however, there is a flat display with a hole punch cutout in the middle. Unlike the OnePlus 10R, the 11R has an alert slider, and it is placed on the right side. The fingerprint scanner sits under the display & the phone has a stereo speaker setup.
Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which sits just below the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in terms of performance. This chip is paired with 8GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The battery size is 5,000mAh, and there is 100W SuperVOOC charging support, similar to the OnePlus 11.
As for the cameras, OnePlus 11R has a triple camera setup on the back, and while it is not as good as the OnePlus 11, the primary camera is still the same. There is a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor for the primary camera with OIS support. The second camera is for ultrawide photos & has an 8MP sensor. The third camera is for macro shots & has a 2MP sensor. There is no Hasselblad branding on the camera module, hence no Hasselblad features, which are present in the OnePlus 11. There is support for up to 4K 60fps video recording.
The display on the OnePlus 11R is quite interesting. While it is not a Quad-HD+ panel, it is still a 1.5K panel which means the display is sharper than a Full-HD+ panel but consumes less power than a Quad-HD+ panel. It is a 6.74-inch 10-bit Super Fluid AMOLED display with a 2772 X 1240 pixels resolution, HDR10+ support, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Finally, Android 13 runs out of the box with OxygenOS on top.
OnePlus 11R comes in two colors – Galactic Silver and Sonic Black. Here is the pricing in the Indian market –
- 8GB + 128GB – ₹39,999
- 16GB + 256GB – ₹44,999
