In May last year, the Lava Agni 2 was launched in the Indian market at ₹21,999. For the price, the phone offered an impressive spec sheet, which included a curved 120Hz AMOLED display, a Dimensity 7050 chipset, 66W fast charging, a glass back, and more. The brand is all set to launch its successor in the Indian market, the Lava Agni 3. The launch is scheduled for October 4, and we already know almost everything about the phone.
The main USP of the Lava Agni 3 is the design. It is the segment’s first smartphone to feature dual displays. There is a small display on the rear, similar to the Xiaomi 11 Ultra. This rear display is a 1.7″ OLED, and it would be interesting to see how Lava is going to utilize this display. The main display is a 6.7-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Speaking of performance, the phone has the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset. This is built on the 4nm process and features a CPU clocked at up to 2.5GHz. It is an upgrade over the Dimensity 7050, and Lava went for this SOC as it supports dual displays. The phone has LPDDR5 RAM with UFS 3.1 storage.
The battery is 5,000mAh and there is 66W fast charging support. There are stereo speakers.
The Lava Agni 3 has a solid camera setup on paper. There are three rear cameras. The primary camera has a 50MP sensor with OIS, the ultrawide camera has an 8MP sensor, and the telephoto camera has an 8MP sensor with 3x optical zoom. The selfie camera uses a 16MP sensor.
Finally, the phone runs on Android 14 and also features an Action button.
Speaking of pricing, the rumors indicate that the phone will launch around ₹25,000 in the Indian market, which makes sense considering the specifications.
