Press Renders – Here’s the OnePlus 6T in Midnight Black & Mirror Black

The OnePlus 6T is all set to launch this month, and the company has already started the teaser campaign on social media. Details like an edge-to-edge display and an in-screen fingerprint scanner are already confirmed, thanks to the company itself. So far, we had no official images of the smartphone, but today, WinFuture got the press renders of the phone in Midnight Black and Mirror Black color. These renders reveal everything you need to know about the design of 6T.

So, the OnePlus 6T has a waterdrop notch like some recently launched phones like the Oppo F9, R17 etc. and features an edge-to-edge display with very minimal bezels. There is a small chin on the bottom which is normal for Android devices since the chin contains the display controller. Apple folded the display to remove the bottom chin on the iPhone X, XS and XS Max. Anyways, as the renders show, the OnePlus 6T has a dual camera setup on the rear, so the leaks and rumors of a triple camera setup were simply fake.

The design looks pretty neat in our opinion. It is good to see that OnePlus removed that big notch and replaced it with a tiny waterdrop notch which houses the front camera, sensors and the earpiece. The button placement remains unchanged with the alert slide and power button on the right while the volume rockers on the left. The renders also confirm that there is no headphone jack and the phone has only the USB Type-C port.

OnePlus has said that the company removed the headphone jack because it allowed it to add more battery in the 6T. As per the recent rumors, there is a 3,700mAh battery in the OnePlus 6T. We expect some minor changes in the cameras, and that’s it. Rest of the specifications like the display resolution, memory, processor etc. will remain the same. Not to forget, the OnePlus 6T is the company’s first phone to have an in-screen fingerprint scanner. So, that’s a sweet addition.

The phone is expected to launch on October 17.
