At the beginning of this month, Motorola launched its most affordable 5G phone named the Moto G 5G in Europe for a price of €299. Well, today, the company launched this phone in the Indian market for ₹20,990. This price means that now it is the cheapest 5G phone available in the Indian market, even cheaper than the OnePlus NORD that starts at ₹24,999. The Moto G 5G features the Snapdragon 750G SOC which has an Integrated modem for 5G support.
Speaking of the design, the phone has a pretty usual design so nothing fancy here. There is a hole-punch display on the front that has the cutout for the single selfie camera in the center. On the rear, the triple camera setup is placed on the top left in a square-ish camera module. The USB Type-C port is present on the bottom along with the 3.5mm headphone jack, so it is good to see that Motorola didn’t remove the headphone jack from this phone. The fingerprint scanner is on the rear because the display on the front is an LCD.
It is a 6.7-inch panel with a Full-HD+ resolution & a normal 60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset that comes with the Adreno 619 GPU & the X52 5G modem. The SOC is paired with 6GB RAM & 128GB storage that is also expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.
There is a triple camera setup on the rear that includes a primary 48 Megapixel camera with Quad Pixel tech, a secondary 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera & a third 2 Megapixel Macro camera. The primary rear camera can shoot up to 4K 30fps videos. On the front, there is a 16 Megapixel camera for selfies.
Finally, Moto G 5G comes with a big 5,000mAh battery & supports 20W Fast Charging. Android 10 runs out of the box & in typical Motorola fashion, there is no bloatware whatsoever except for a couple of Motorola apps.
The phone has launched for ₹20,990 in India & the sale starts on December 7th at 12 PM. You can buy it via Flipkart.
