So the OnePlus NORD is finally official & it won’t be wrong to say that after a very long time we have seen such a huge amount of hype for a mid-range phone. It is the company’s first mid-range device since the OnePlus X of 2015 & we have to say that the specs & the pricing are pretty impressive.
For a starting price of Rs 24,999 or $335, the phone offers a 90Hz AMOLED panel, Quad cameras, Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G with 5G support, Warp Charge 30T & more.
ONEPLUS NORD – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS
Design-wise, the phone doesn’t look very different from other devices in the mid-range segment from other brands. There is a dual punch-hole selfie camera setup on the front & a Quad camera setup on the back placed vertically on the top left.
The power button is on the right side with the alert slider, whereas the volume rockers are placed on the left side. Now, the phone doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack, so that’s something you should keep in mind if you are planning to go for it.
Talking about the specifications, the OnePlus NORD features a 6.44-inch Full-HD+ Fluid AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate & Corning Gorilla Glass 5. This is something we don’t see on phones these days because most of the devices in this price segment with a high-refresh-rate display have an LCD panel.
Under the hood, there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset, which is currently the most powerful Snapdragon 700-series SOC from Qualcomm. Thanks to the integrated 5G modem, OnePlus NORD supports 5G as well. There is 6/8/12GB LPDDR4X RAM paired with 64/128/256GB UFS 2.1 storage.
The Quad camera setup on the rear includes a primary 48 Megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with OIS + EIS, an 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera with 119-degree FOV, a 2 Megapixel macro camera & a 5 Megapixel depth sensor. The primary rear camera can shoot up to 4K 30fps videos & 240fps super slow-motion videos at 1080p.
Some camera features include Nightscape, UltraShot HDR, Pro Mode, RAW Image, etc.
On the front, there are dual cameras that include a primary 32 Megapixel Sony IMX616 sensor paired with an 8 Megapixel 105-degree wide-angle shooter. The front camera is capable of 4K 30/60fps video recording.
Finally, the OnePlus NORD comes with a 4,115mAh battery & Warp Charge 30T support. Android 10 based OxygenOS runs out of the box.
ONEPLUS NORD – PRICING & AVAILABILITY
Nord comes in two colors named Blue Marble & Gray Onyx. There are three storage options & here is the pricing –
- 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM – Rs 24,999
- 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM – Rs 27,999
- 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM – Rs 29,999
