If you remember, in July, Motorola launched its most affordable 5G phone named the Moto G 5G Plus for €349. Well, today, Motorola launched the non-Plus version of that phone for an even lower price tag & yes, it has 5G as well. The Moto G 5G is now official & it comes with a price tag of €299 for the European market which now makes it the most affordable 5G phone by Motorola & also one of the most affordable 5G phones available in the market today.
MOTO G 5G – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS
Compared to the “Plus” version, there are some noticeable design changes this time. For example, the fingerprint scanner is now positioned on the rear instead of on the side & there are three cameras on the back instead of four. On the front, there is now only one selfie camera & the cutout is placed in the middle this time. The USB Type-C port is present on the bottom alongside the 3.5mm headphone jack & there is a dedicated Google Assistant button on the left side.
The main USP of this phone is obviously “5G” support. Under the hood, it packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset that has an integrated X52 5G modem that supports mmWave 5G as well. This chip is paired with 4/6GB RAM & 64/128GB storage.
Moto G 5G has a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ display & the cutout in the display has the 16 Megapixel selfie shooter in it. On the rear, there is a triple camera setup that includes a primary 48 Megapixel shooter paired with an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera & a 2 Megapixel macro camera. There is a 5,000mAh battery inside & the phone supports 20W Fast Charging as well. Android 10 runs out of the box.
The Moto G 5G launched in two colors that are named Frosted Silver & Volcanic Grey. As mentioned in the title, the price starts at €299 for the European market & soon, the phone will launch in markets outside Europe as well.
