In August last year, the Honor V7 Pro tablet was launched in China, featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 1300T SOC. In fact, it was the first tablet launched with this chipset. The brand has launched the successor in the Chinese market, the Honor V8 Pro. The price starts at ¥2599, which is the same as the starting price of Honor V7 Pro when it launched last year.
Design-wise, the Honor V8 Pro is a premium-looking tablet, especially in the Orange color option, which has a leather-like finish on the back and golden colored frame. While the camera module design is the same as V7 Pro, there is now only one camera on the rear. There are eight speakers for the best multimedia experience. For better audio recording, there are four microphones. The tablet is quite slim at 6.64mm (the Orange color option is 6.99mm).
For an even better multimedia experience, the Honor V8 Pro has a large 12.1-inch display, and it is the industry’s first IMAX Enhanced tablet display. This is a 10-bit IPS LCD with up to 144Hz refresh rate, 600nit brightness, and 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. In short, the display gets a significant upgrade over the Honor V7 Pro. The display has the TÜV Rheinland’s Hardware-level low blue light and flicker-free certifications.
Under the hood, there is MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. There is a large 10,050mAh battery with 35W fast charging support. The camera setup includes a 13MP rear and a 5MP front camera. The front camera has a fixed focus. Finally, Android 12-based MagicOS 7.0 runs out of the box.
