Huawei Mate 9 coming to the US on January 6th

Huawei announced the Mate 9 last month, and until now, it is available for users in most parts of Europe, China, Thailand, Japan and UAE. But, if you live in the US, you still have to wait for the device to come to the US market. There are no doubts that the phone has potential to compete with some of the best flagships out there as it features great specs. Today, leakster Evan Blass has revealed on Twitter that the Huawei Mate 9 is landing in US markets next year on January 6th.

HUAWEI MATE 9 SPECS

If we talk about the specifications, the Huawei Mate 9 is a great phone. It packs a huge 5.9-inch 1920x1080p screen and is powered by Huawei’s octa-core Kirin 960 chipset clocked at 2.4GHz. There is 4 Gigs of RAM and 64/128GB of internal memory. Also, in case you want to expand the storage, the Mate 9 comes with external SD card slot with which you can expand the memory up to 256GB. As the Huawei P9 has, the Mate 9 too, comes with Leica-branded dual rear cameras which include 20MP + 12MP cameras. Also, on the front is an 8MP camera. Under the hood, the Huawei Mate 9 packs a good 4,000 mAh battery. Coming to the software, Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the phone over company’s skin.

Well, Huawei has made tremendous improvements with its device in past couple of years, and it can be understood with the fact that the company is now 3rd largest smartphone producer after tech giants Samsung and Apple.
