Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 scores over a million on AnTuTu

A screen shows alleged Realme GT 2 Pro's AnTuTu score

Everyone knows by now that the next flagship chip from Qualcomm is named the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and in fact, Qualcomm has announced that from now, Snapdragon is a standalone product brand which simply means instead of ‘Qualcomm Snapdragon,’ we will simply call it ‘Snapdragon.’ Earlier this month, MediaTek launched its Dimensity 9000 SOC which is going to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and the company also claimed that the chip was able to score over a million on the AnTuTu benchmark.

Well, now, we have got a screenshot that shows the AnTuTu score of the Snapdragon chip. To no surprise, this chip also managed to score over a million.

The benchmark was run on a device from Realme with a model number RMX3300, and most probably, this is a high-end flagship under the Realme GT series. Some sources have suggested it is the Realme GT 2 Pro. Whatever the case is, this shows that Dimensity 9000 & the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 are neck and neck in terms of performance, something we haven’t seen previously since Qualcomm used to easily beat the best from MediaTek.

As per some leaks, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip is built on Samsung’s 4nm process and has an octa-core CPU, unsurprisingly. There is one Cortex-X2 core, three Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.5GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The GPU is Adreno 730.
