Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 & Z Flip 4 launching on August 10

It is time for Samsung's 2022's foldable phones!

There was a time when Samsung used to have an Unpacked event in the second half of the year for its Galaxy Note series. But now that the Galaxy Note series is dead, Samsung has been using the event for its foldable phones. This year is no exception as the next foldables by Samsung are launching on the 10th of August at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event. This was revealed by Evan Blass on Twitter.

Evan Blass shared the above images where the background is blurred, but it is not hard to notice the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the background. Moreover, if you missed it, we got to see the designs of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 in May when the renders of both the devices were shared by OnLeaks.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is not a lot different from the predecessor, with the most noticeable design change on the rear. There is no longer a camera module, so all the camera lenses are placed separately. The Z Fold 4 is thicker than the Z Fold 3 (7.1mm vs. 6.4mm), and this is probably due to the fact that the phone is smaller in size  (155mm vs. 158.2mm). There is a 6.2-inch display on the outside and a 7.6-inch foldable display on the inside.

Also, just like last year’s Z Fold 3, the outer display has a hole punch for the selfie camera, whereas the foldable display gets an in-display selfie camera.

Speaking of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, there is absolutely no visual difference, except, of course, some new colors. The phone is thicker than its predecessor (7.2mm vs. 6.9mm).

We are yet to get any leaks from reliable sources that reveal the specifications of both devices.
