Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 & Galaxy Z Flip 4 renders are here

With the Galaxy S22 series already launched, we are looking forward to the foldables from Samsung that will launch in the other half of this year. Like previous years, we are getting at least two foldable phones this year – Z Fold 4 & Z Flip 4. While the launch is happening sometime in August, we now have the renders of both the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 & Galaxy Z Flip 4, thanks to @OnLeaks, who shared the renders with SmartPrix and 91Mobiles, respectively.

Starting with the Galaxy Z Fold 4, the most significant design change compared to the Z Fold 3 is on the back, where the camera island is no longer present this year. So, the cameras are placed individually, just as on the Galaxy S22 Ultra, except that there is no periscope lens on the Z Fold 4. Apart from that, the design remains the same as the Z Fold 3 last year. In terms of dimensions, the Z Fold 4 (155mm) is shorter than the Z Fold 3 (158.2mm), but that is compensated by making the Z Fold 4 thicker (7.1mm vs. 6.4mm) & wider (130mm vs. 128.1mm).

There is a 6.2″ outer display and a 7.6″ foldable display.

The outer display has a hole punch for the selfie camera, whereas the foldable display has an in-display camera, similar to the Z Fold 3. We don’t see any difference in the hinge design from the outside, but we are sure Samsung has made some improvements in the hinge mechanism as that is one thing that happens every year with a new foldable phone.

It is rumored that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SOC, a 4,400mAh battery, and 25W charging.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is identical to the Z Flip 3, and unlike the Z Fold 4, there is no difference in the camera module. Again, the dimensions are a bit different. The Z Flip 4 (7.2mm) is thicker than the Z Flip 3 (6.9mm) & slightly shorter (165.1mm vs. 166mm).

So, it seems like only the specifications will be upgraded in the case of the Z Flip 4.
