Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra – Here’s our first look

No curved displays anymore?

Today, we got our first look at the Samsung Galaxy S24 as the unofficial renders of the phone were shared by OnLeaks. The same source has shared the renders of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, the highest-end premium flagship from the brand for 2024. Like the Galaxy S24, the S24 Ultra is identical to the Galaxy S23 Ultra but has one significant design change.

There is no change in the rear design, the camera layout, or the frame. While the Galaxy S24 is getting a flat frame, that’s not the case with the Galaxy S24 Ultra. But what’s flat this time is the display. Samsung is going for a flat panel on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and the bezels are pretty slim. It is rather interesting that Samsung was the first to launch a phone with a curved display, and now, the company is returning to the flat panels.

The dimensions are approximately 162.3 x 79 x 8.7mm, meaning the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is slimmer (8.9mm vs. 8.7mm), wider (78.1mm vs. 79mm), and shorter (163.4mm vs. 162.3mm) than the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

As per Ice Universe, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a WQHD+ display with a 2500 nits peak brightness, up from 1750 nits on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The charging speed is still 45W.

There is no information on the spec sheet yet.
