Samsung Galaxy A50s & Galaxy A30s arrive in India



In August, Samsung announced two new A-series phones named Galaxy A50s & Galaxy A30s. Today, both the phones were launched in India & the price is Rs 16,999 for the Samsung Galaxy A30s & Rs 22,999 for the Samsung Galaxy A50s. As the names suggest, they are the upgrades over this year’s Galaxy A30 & Galaxy A50. There isn’t much difference in the design except for the back panel where we now have a new geometric design.

We have already talked about both the phones in detail in our previous article so you can check that out. In a nutshell, the A30s has an Infinity-V display whereas the A50s has an Infinity-U screen. Both phones feature triple cameras on the back & an in-display fingerprint scanner. Both have a USB Type-C port & a headphone jack.

The Samsung Galaxy A30s has a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Screen & is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7885 SOC along with 4GB RAM & 64GB storage. There is a triple camera setup on the rear that includes a primary 25MP f/1.7 shooter, a secondary 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera & a third 5MP depth sensor. There is a 16MP front camera.

The battery underneath is a 4,000mAH unit & the Samsung Galaxy A30s also supports 15W Fast Charging. Android 9 Pie runs out of the box with OneUI on top.

The Samsung Galaxy A50s has a similar design with the only exception being an Infinity-U screen on the front. It is a same-sized 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen but with a Full-HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it gets a 10nm Exynos 9611 SOC which is a minor upgrade over the Exynos 9610. In India, it comes with 4GB RAM & 128GB storage. There is a 4,000mAH battery with 15W fast charging.

Coming to the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy A50s has a primary 48MP shooter with F/2.0 aperture & it is Samsung’s GM1 sensor. There is a secondary 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera & a 5MP depth sensor. There is a 32MP front camera as well.

Finally, coming to the pricing & availability in India, the Samsung Galaxy A30s is priced at Rs 16,999 in India & comes in 4GB + 64GB variant. The Samsung Galaxy A50s is priced at Rs 22,999 & comes in 4GB + 128GB variant. Both the phones come in three colors – Prism Crush black, Prism Crush Violet, & Prism Crush White.
