In April of 2021, Redmi K40 Gaming Edition went official in the Chinese market, and the phone features some unique gaming-centric features such as pop-up shoulder triggers, a 120Hz OLED, and MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SOC. If the launch timeline does not change, we are expecting the Redmi K50 series to go official in the first quarter of 2022. And now, Digital Chat Station has shared on Weibo that the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition has support for 120W fast charging.
Earlier, Digital Chat Station had shared that the K50 Gaming Edition retains the pop-up triggers from the K40 Gaming Edition and has a flat screen with a centered hole punch cutout for the selfie shooter. There are stereo speakers by JBL, and the phone also supports Dolby Atmos.
We do not know what chip this phone will have, but since Redmi has officially announced that the K50 series will use the Dimensity 9000 SOC, we can expect the same chip to be used for the Gaming Edition. Because for the K40 Gaming Edition as well, Redmi went for the best SOC that MediaTek was offering.
