Redmi K30 Pro has a 60Hz Samsung AMOLED screen

Redmi K30 Pro will go official in China on March 24th  & every day, we are getting some new information related to the phone via the company. First, we got the official images that revealed the design, and now Redmi has shared some information about the display on the device. We were expecting a high-refresh-rate screen on the K30 Pro, but it looks like the phone has a normal 60Hz panel.

Wang Teng Thomas, the product director of Redmi, shared on Weibo that the display on Redmi K30 Pro is a Samsung’s AMOLED panel, but the refresh rate is 60Hz. So for some reasons, Redmi is not going for a high-refresh-rate display on its flagship which is weird since even companies like Realme have gone for a high-refresh-rate screen on its past two flagships.

Talking about the display specs, it is an E3 AMOLED panel from Samsung with 180Hz touch-sampling rate, HDR10+ support, 800 nits max brightness, 1200 nits peak brightness, and 5000000:1 contrast ratio. So it looks like Redmi has focused on providing a high-quality AMOLED panel instead of going for an AMOLED screen with high-refresh-rate.

TÜV Rheinland certifies the display, so it’s easy on the eyes. Finally, there is DC Dimming as well.

There is also the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition with 3X Optical Zoom, so maybe that one has a high-refresh-rate display. This is just a rumour as of now, so stay tuned for more information.
