Redmi K20 officially confirmed to launch as a flagship killer

Yesterday, we got to know that Redmi would launch K20 & K20 Pro as its flagship smartphones soon. Now, the company has confirmed the same, at least for the Redmi K20. The CEO of Redmi, Lu Weibing, revealed the name today on Weibo & explained why the company is going for the all-new “K” series for its upcoming flagships.

Well, “K” is for “Killer” as the company claims the upcoming Redmi K20 to be a Flagship Killer like last year’s Poco F1. Considering “20”, he joked on Weibo saying that Xiaomi is on 9 (Mi 9) while Huawei has already reached 30 (P30). So, Redmi decided to start from 20 for its flagship.

Now, the company didn’t reveal if there is indeed a “Pro” version of the K20. But, if there is one, then as per previous leak, it is coming in four storage options – 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB & 8GB + 256GB. The color options are Carbon Fiber Black, Glacier Blue, and Flame Red.

Some rumored specifications include 6.39-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855 processor, 20MP pop-up selfie camera, triple rear cameras & 4,000mAh battery. We are also expecting the K20 to launch outside the Chinese market as Poco F2. Let’s hope to get something impressive from the brand this time.
