Redmi 8A Price in India leaked, to start at Rs 6,499

In July, the Redmi 7A launched in the Indian market with the main USP of the phone being that 12MP camera on the back with Sony IMX 486 sensor. After just two months, Redmi is all set to launch its successor in the Indian market, i.e., the Redmi 8A. It looks like Redmi 7A didn’t sell as good as expected as it failed to beat the Realme C2 in many aspects. The 8A is launching on September 25th in India so just a few days are now left for the launch.

The Redmi 8A price in India has already leaked, thanks to the folks over at 91Mobiles. As per their report, the price will start at Rs 6,499, i.e., Rs 500 higher than the starting price of Redmi 7A.

As per 91Mobiles, there are three variants of the phone i.e, 2GB + 16GB, 3GB + 32GB & 4GB + 64GB. The 2GB variant is launching at Rs 6,499, the 3GB variant at Rs 6,999 & 4GB variant at Rs 8,999.

The TENAA listing of the phone has already revealed some key specs that include a 6.21-inch TFT display with 19:9 aspect ratio, 2GHz octa-core SOC, 5,000mAh battery, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front camera & Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. The name of the SOC is not known, but it could be the Helio P22. Redmi is also teasing fast charging on Flipkart, but it is most likely the normal 10W Charging.
