The Chinese Tech Giant Xiaomi is now expanding their feet in the TV market after getting a massive success in the smartphone industry in India. Well, before Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi brand was known as the brand for budget smartphones. Redmi is now planning to take a huge step and taking itself on Xiaomi’s shoes by starting to make smart TVs.
In the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, Redmi’s CEO Lu Weibing announced that they would be launching an immense sized 70-inch smart 4K TV in China. According to the reports, the Redmi 4K smart TV will be unveiling with Redmi Note 8 series at an event later this month. The Redmi’s CEO also said that they are primarily committed about the 70-inch 4K Smart TV’s launch date, which is 29 August 2019.

We all know the fact that Redmi is known as the budget brand or the affordable brand so if we compare the Redmi TV with Xiaomi’s TV, the chances are high that we may get to see an IPS Panel instead of the LED panel. And just like the elder sibling, the upcoming Redmi TV could run on the Patchwall UI. However, till now we have limited information about the product so let’s see on August 29th what Redmi has been working on.
Additionally, at the launch event in China, Xiaomi may unveil the Redmi Note 8 series. Also, the Redmi 8 is in the works as well & they might launch it soon. But all these products are reserved for China. Let’s see when Redmi will introduce their 4K TV lineup in other markets like India.
