Every day, we are getting new leaks & rumours regarding the Redmi Note 8 & Note 8 Pro, where the latter is supposed to be the upcoming 64MP camera phone from the brand. Today, however, an upcoming device from Redmi passes through TENNA which could be the Redmi 8.
The TENAA listing reveals the design of the phone as well as some specifications so it can definitely be said that it is going to be a budget phone from the brand.
The design is a bit different this time, at least from the rear. The phone has a dual-camera setup, but instead of placing it on the left side, Xiaomi went for a Nokia-style design where the dual camera setup & fingerprint scanner are placed vertically in the middle. The front is not very different as the alleged Redmi 8 has a dot notch & there is Redmi branding on the bottom bezel.
As per TENAA, the device features a 6.217-inch TFT LCD with an HD+ resolution (1520x 720). So, this confirms the fact that it is a budget phone. Under the hood, there is an octa-core 2.0GHz SOC & we don’t know the name of it. There is 2/3/4GB RAM and 16/32/64GB internal storage. The Redmi 7 featured Snapdragon 632, so the Redmi 8 could launch with Snapdragon 660 or 665.
One of the highlights of this upcoming phone is going to be that massive 5,000mAh battery which, along with the HD+ screen, is enough to last even two days on normal usage. There is a primary 12MP camera on the rear & an 8MP selfie camera. The secondary rear camera is definitely a normal depth sensor.
The Redmi 7 launched in March & since Xiaomi usually launches the successor after six months, we are expecting the Redmi 8 to launch in China soon, maybe next month.
